The District Election Committee (DECOM) for District I-Bacolod North composed of Ms. Ramona Lamo, Mr. Esteban Albacea and Mr. Dabenogrimo Estanilao finally proclaimed Ms. Joyce Martha B. Cuenca as the elected director to represent the member consumers in the said district. The election was held yesterday from 8AM to 12:00NN at the Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) compound, Mabini St., Bacolod City. Ms. Cuenca is an unopposed candidate and garnered a total of 11 votes.
The conduct of election for District I-Bacolod North was moved to September 25, 2013, per Board Resolution No. 10510, Series of 2013, dated September 23, 2013, from the original schedule of September 21, 2013 due to a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by Judge Rosario Ester Orda-Caise of Branch 48 of the Regional Trial Court, requiring the Screening Committee to comply with the posting requirements as stipulated in the Electric Cooperative Election Code.
